Vinyasa Yoga is a flowing, dynamic sequence of poses. Also sometimes called “Vinyasa Flow Yoga,” this type of practice involves synchronizing the breath with a continuous flow of postures. The fluid like movements increase flexibility, strength, and stamina, as it calms the mind and improves overall health.
The literal translation of the Sanskrit word “vinyasa” is “to place in a certain way.” It refers to a certain sequence of poses that are performed in a particular order.

In this class, we will introduce the yoga practice through breathing exercises and a breakdown of some of the most common asanas (postures) utilizing strength, props and breath. It is a slower paced class and students are welcome to ask questions about postures that may be more difficult for them. Each class will be different depending on the needs and levels of the students, and some days there may be more explanation in class than actual movement. This class is perfect for absolute beginners, as well as experienced practitioners looking to deepen their practice.

Our Hip Opening Vinyasa Flow class will stretch and open the hips, groins and pelvic region to decrease tightness and release energy. Hip opening poses are very beneficial to practice, especially for athletes and those who sit at a desk all day. We will explore asanas to create stability in the thighbones, hipbones and the sacrum. Basic yoga knowledge recommended.

Start your morning with an energetic flow class to get you ready to embrace the day. Class begins with warm-up poses before moving into a sequence of asanas that flow through strength, stretch and range of motion, moving from standing poses into seated postures and finally breathing and relaxation. Appropriate for beginners.
This one hour session focuses on poses that build strength and develop the core. Using mindfully sequenced asanas and attentive breath work, we will explore Vinyasa and Power yoga including Sun Salutations, standing sequence, seated poses, backbends and closing sequence. Suitable for students with previous yoga experience.
Suitable for all levels, this class moves a bit slower than a Flow class to allow more time for entering and experiencing the pose. We will utilize breath and movement to focus on internal awareness and physical alignment.
Designed to realign the body and calm the mind, Vinyasa Flow yoga integrates a sequence of breath-synchronized movements to transition between sustained postures. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned yogi, this class will help you build endurance, flexibility, strength and mindfulness. You will practice postures that will bring you home to your body to release what is tight and expand what has become contracted.
While introducing more complex asanas, this class moves at a moderate to fast pace and will help you build endurance, flexibility, strength and mindfulness. Previous yoga experience recommended.
