Start with a gentle guided meditation to acknowledge areas of your life for which you are grateful, followed by a slow and simple flow to bring about awareness and gratitude for your body. Learn how to take this practice with you, to start each day with a positive and joyful attitude!

Yoga Nidra with Katie roll

The benefits of any meditation practice are numerous: lower stress hormones, increased productivity, stronger immune system and better focus, to name a few. The practice of yoga nidra softly introduces itself to even the most avid skeptic. This November reset yourself with the practice of "yogic sleep." 

We will be spending 30 minutes warming the body up with gentle yoga (asana) then settling into savasana for a 30 minute guided meditation experience. Yoga nidra guides the mind through the physical body allowing for extreme relaxation and a complete reset of the nervous system. By far the best hour you can spend for mind/body self care!

You will also hone your observation skills to customize your cues to best guide your students into truly functional and effective classes. Learn hands on assists that students crave as well as refining your energetic presence to support you and your students.

Requirements: a steady/regular practice, or teaching certification

Bring a pen, notebook, phone (for pictures) and a mat.

Steady Asana, Easy Breath, Enduring Peace with Kim Taurins

One of the most profound ideas found in yogic philosophies, Sthira Sukham Asanam. Patanjali explains that every yoga posture needs to be balanced with qualities of Sthira (steady, stable, effort, steadfast) and qualities of Sukham (ease, delight, and joy). This practice is created to expand on the idea beyond even the postures themselves and weave these powerful concepts practically, off the mat and into your everyday life.

Flow through an active, creative vinyasa sequence, designed to build the alignment necessary for breath and prana to flow easily through the body, which can lead to a joyful practice. Even though the movement is challenging, you'll delight in the strength and grace with which the body moves on your behalf.

Prepare to work legs, core, arms. Explore postures to open hips, chest and shoulders. Think juicy supple body that is now ready for stillness. The class concludes with long yoga nidra (yoga sleep).

Prepare to relax your eye lashes. Yoga nidra is a systematic meditation designed to guide the mind into a deep, restorative state. Journey through the extremes to understand the underlying oneness of duality, because it is only through experience that you gain understanding.
